Item as discribed, very poor packaging protection, could be a lot better for this product. Rotates smooth will need some lubing to for better and smoother rotating i think. There are a few little dents and scratches in it so if i use it i have to see that they are hidden if i display it with the project i want to make with it. Overall im happy with it.

It's fine to turn a glass plate for a table, something like that, but putting it vertical, the more the center of gravity of the weight is distant from your bearings, the more momentum it creates on it to break it.
